WordPress: Probleme mit Ajax Edit Comments
Wer schonmal versucht hat, das WordPress-Plugin WP Ajax Edit Comments mit beispielsweise Lightbox 2 (oder auch Greybox bzw. Thickbox) zu kombinieren (wie ich hier in diesem Blog), wird auf ein Problem stossen.
Wärend AEC auf eine JavaScript-Bibliothek namens jQuery.js zurückgreift, arbeiten die 3 anderen genannten Plugins mit einem sehr ähnlichen Framework namens prototype.js zusammen. Beides zusammen sorgt in o.g. Fall dafür, dass AEC in allen aktuelleren Versionen nicht mehr korrekt funktioniert – jedenfalls nicht im WordPress-Frontend.
Eine genaue Erklärung der Problematik und -was viel wichtiger ist- eine Lösung des Problems bietet Hisky in seinem Blog. Diese lautet namentlich jQuery no conflict und hat hier wunderbar für Abhilfe gesorgt.

Auch mit deiner Erklärung bekomme ich es nicht zum laufen, trotzdem danke für die nette Link Sammlung. Ich werde mich einfach noch einmal durcharbeiten und hoffen dass es diesmal klappt

@Matthias: Das Problem sollte bei den aktuellen Versionen “eigentlich” sowieso nicht mehr auftreten. Dann hast du vielleicht nen anderen Konflikt mit einem Plugin.
Ich würd mal alle Plugins ausser AEC abschalten und nach und nach wieder dazunehmen, bis es nicht mehr funktioniert. Das sollte dann evtl. Aufklärung bringen.

Also eigentlich sollten solche Probleme in aktuellen Versionen der Geschichte angehören. Das ist jetzt (seit recode) sauberer gelöst, denk ich.
Ich bin da jedenfalls auf keinerlei Probleme mehr gestoßen.

hatte auch mal ein solches Problem mit der Thickbox und jquery. Habe Dann eine passende Slimbox genommen, lief dann alles super.

Also bei mir funktioniert der, dauert bloß nen Moment.
Das Problem sollte aber – wie weiter oben schon erwähnt – unterdessen gelöst sein. Ansonsten würd ich dir ‘FancyBox‘ ans Herz legen, das macht hier jedenfalls überhaupt keine Probleme.
edit: Obwohl ich mir da im Moment gerade (mal wieder) nicht so sicher bin, da ich hier wieder die Buttons von AEC vermisse.

Ich schöre auf Mootools + slimbox. Ist von der Syntax her am einfachsten.

Naja, die Probleme (was jQuery betrifft) sind ja längst behoben. Mein bis vor ein paar Tagen aktuelles Problem mit AEC war allerdings realtiv lustig, da die grafischen Links im Frontend mal wieder nicht angezeigt wurden. Bei reinen Textlinks war’s OK.
Das ganze Geheimnis: Die Kommentarbox war zu klein – es hat einfach nicht reingepasst (respektive: es war nicht zu sehen). Ein simpler Linebreak hat geholfen!

Ich sag’s nochmal (weil man’s nicht oft genug sagen kann): Das bezog sich auf ältere AEC-Versionen. Wenn es Probleme mit aktuellen Versionen gibt, sind die i.d.R. anderer Natur, steht aber zum Teil weiter oben in den Kommentaren.
